I have realized something over the last few weeks: my writing is directly related to my riding. Even in areas that have little or nothing to do with bikes, my creative juices flow slower when I am not on the bike regularly.

And I am not surprised at all. Quite simply, my mind works better when I ride.

And as my riding as tapered off recently, so has my creative ability. Such as it ever was. However, I am excited to both start riding and writing more often. And I am especially excited to see the improvments in both my creative and physical energy.

History has proven that as I write, and ride, everything seems better in the world.

Trails are opening up.  Some because of snow melt, others because they are evolving from faint deer paths to legitimate singletrack.  And so the options are increasing, multiplying.  From singletrack to singletrack, ridge to ridge and canyon to canyon, the world is being linked together. Ripe for the exploring.
