Welcome, Summer
I know I am jinxing it, but the weather the last few days has been to good to not get excited that maybe, just maybe, summer is here. Today was a huge step in that direction. We rode the trails up the South Fork of Provo Canyon today. It was a fleeting glimpse of the high country, but good quality Alpine singletrack nonetheless.

Chris tops out high on the Great Western Trail, Cascade Saddle in the background

You can see why I love these trails

New Van Dessel gear arrived today

Pics look as good as the clothing. Yeah the rigid is great and really fast if its not rough. I didnt post that I was still able to beat all the Am ss and 25 of the 30 of the geared amatures and most of the teams, the bike works well for sure its just a brain beater when the going gets rough. Hope things are going well.

From Salt Lake:

I-15 South to the 800 North Exit in Orem.

Head East until you get to the mouth of Provo canyon.

Continue up Provo canyon until you see Vivian Park on the right. It is before the tunnel and the Sundance ski Resort turn off.

Follow the small paved road that leads up the canyon (this is South Fork)

The trail head is at a park (not the first big park you will pass) off to the right side of the road, about 3 miles up the road.

Park in the upper lot, the trail head is right there.

Check out www.utahmountainbiking.com for more info. It's listed in the Utah Valley segment as Big Springs Hollow
